2000 Jeep Cherokee no us codes?

I was recently driving my 2000 Jeep Cherokee and it suddenly began to sputter and the speedometer was shooting back and forth from 15-80mph. All of the instrument panel lights were flashing and then it shut off. It did this about five more times after continued restarting of the vehicle and then finally did not start back up and will not turn over when trying to get it started. I took the dash off and cleaned the connectors because ideas that is one of the common solutions but it did nothing. Please help me with my problem. I need my vehicle daily and do not have any cash to spare so if it is something I can fix myself Id be more than appreciative. Thank you for your help.

The Jeep 2000 Cherokee can run without a instrument panel.The flashing lights and bouncing speedometer this can mean a loss of battery voltage such as the igntion switch or a non charging condition., If the engine does not crank check the battery condition , a good battery should have more than 12.5 volts.
