hello my 2008 GMC CANYON has code U1026, How can this be fixed

I had my truck checked and code U 1026 came up , please help i'm on a tight budget and have to fix this on my on. Thanks

U1026 Lost communication with ATC / TCCM

These are for you transfer case, the TCCM which is for the transfercase shift control module check to see if the fuse open. which would indicated a short or open in the circuit  this is located in the underhood fuse box listed as TCCM , and check the cruise control switch. if its open the check the function of the multi switch or  the turn signal for proper operation.. This code is more a open condition with its power. Start by check the fuses 2 area to be checking the the TCCM and the ATC , the ATC is also fuse protected so check the fuse for that. it should be listed as FRT AXL
