I got the engine code P0449 on my 2012 Chevrolet Traverse V6. Fuel gauge also quit.

Question

The car ran great but check engine light came on and the fuel gauge quit at the same time. Put my reader on it and got the Park code. Can these two problems be related and if so, how? Thanks for all the help.
