P0300 Chrysler -

Question

My Chrysler Town & Country van has had a hesitation and the engine light is on. Smells bad too. The codes that come up are PO300 and PO305. We have replaced all spark plugs and wires. Still the same problem. What should we do next?

P0300 Random misfire

What the smell from? Does it smell like raw fuel. ? a coolant smell? The best way to determine the misfire is to rule out a mechanical condition by doing either a compression test or a leak down test.

 Here is a fouled sparkplug coming from a number 2 cylinder for a Chrysler 3.3 it was the only cylinder coming out fouled, ( it was wet) compression test was perfromed and proved to be good and not less than 25 % of the other cylinders.

 The fix here was the fuel injector .
