I am having error code p0010 for my 2010 Toyota corolla.
Just wondering if the camshaft position sensor is the same as the actuator and it is located on top of the engine and next to the oil cap.
Should I buy a genuine Toyota part or aftermarket part is OK?
Thanks

P0010 Camshaft position "A" actuator circuit Bank 1

The camshaft position sensor is a sensor that produces a signal that is used by the ECM to determine ignition and fuel injection timing in relation to the engine top dead center. The code condition that you P0010 refers to the variable valve timing, the most probable cause for this code condition would be the cam position solenoid for the intake. You can use the aftermarket.
