P0300 Mercedes-Benz -

Question

SL500 03model.
Gear lever stuck in park position.
I hit the lever while I forced the lever with my other hand to drive position but the following morning I couldnt remove it from park.
What do I do to remove it from park to N or D?, my hand hurts bcos I applied pressure hitting so hard

The SL 500 has a tab you remove to get to a slot, there you stick a fine point like a pen  (or a spare key) with the key in the on position and you stepping on the brakes you over ride the shift interlock so you can move in gear such as reverse or drive. The most probable cause for the shift interlock to not work would the the brake switch.
