truck will not go in Reverse at all all other gears work just fine what can be the problem.?

Its a 4 wheel drive has a 350 vortec M30 transmission chevrolet 1500. Truck will shift to all gears will go forward in all gears and runs fine no slips nothing but will not go backwards at all.? What can be the problem?

M30 is a 4L60 transmission, usually when there is no reverse gear there is no 2nd gear or 4th gear, first and 3rd gear will operate correctly, what happens and this is common.The Sun gear does not hold inside the reaction sun shell. Rebuild the transmission.
