2008 Chevrolet Equinox with code U0102, what is this code meaning and how to repair it?

All-wheel drive maintenance light came ON and the U0102 (Loss communication with transfer case control module) code on my 2008 Chevrolet Equinox 3.4L. What caused this and how do I fix it?

U0102 Loss communication with transfer case control module

Is there a spare tire that is installed? or a smaller tire size installed ? This will turn off the transfer case control module. When there is a U code condition , you will need to check for any "P" code that is presenst beside the U codes
