Need help before I spend an arm and a leg to fix. Have two of the same codes p1130. Googled it and it says swirl control valve. Tested it with straight power and clicks on and off.. Truck has no power and idles rough. What else can be checked? Just don't wanna bring to the shop if it's something small and I can repair myself and save some money. Thanks

Vehicle: 1997 nissan p/u 2.4L

HI there,

The most common issue with this code on these 4 cylinders is the steel tubes under the intake that carry the vacuum to the swirl control valve rust and actually plug up. Make sure this isn't happening. Sometimes the rough running could also be caused by a vacuum leak. If one has rusted through, it would cause a leak and give you this problem.
