The owner had the all of the plugs and coils replaced. The car ran alright for a short period of time, but now there is no spark at #1 cylinder. I've tried exchanging coils and plugs with #2 cylinder, but #1 still has no spark. The coil harness passes a continuity test.

you can start by checking to see if you have the right signals from the computer to the coil.  you should have two wires. one has power from under dash fuse box make sure fuse for ignition coil is ok. one wire should have 12v when key or engine is on. make sure to check with the propper voltage meeter. you may have a cut wire.
