water pump went out a few months back. drove it to the shop as it happened. it was replaced. a week or so later started getting multiple misfire error code.

  1. they replaced the plugs
  2. they did a carbon clean on the engine
  3. they then cleaned the fuel rod and injectors
  4. they unplugged coils and issue stayed at #3
  5. they ran smoke test and found a gasket leak
  6. they replaced intake housing

none has stopped the error code. the truck will start out running rough when giving it gas, the engine light will start flashing. after a few minutes (or truck warms up) the light stays on permanent and runs fine at a higher rpm. if I am at a light too long it will start to flash again and start to sputter as if it wants to cut off.'

needless to say the mechanics are stumped and I can't keep renting a car.

any ideas?

Flashing CK ENG LT can only be caused by a ignition misfire, injectors or cylinder valve problem will not cause the CK ENG lt to flash the only way to pin point the problem is to do a running compression test on the suspected cylinder.
