2002 BMW 530i with engine code P1353

Question

i have a 2002 bmw 530i which my daughter drives. I had a diagnostic check done and it indicated a P1353 code. Could this code have been the result of very low oil level as i had to add 3 qts of oil to the engine !

P1353 Multiple misfire

This is a misfire that is catalytic damaging, what the DME does is shut down the injector to that particular cylinder, This vehicle takes close to 7 quart synthetic motor oil. Being 3 quart low not going to be the cause of the misfire it may have contributed to a misfire, leaking oil which is usual, especially at the oil filter housing, P1353 are usually caused do to induction problems such as the PCV system or the oil drain back. The diagnosis is there is an excessive vacuum in the crankcase, which will cause the rough idle, The most likely cause of P01353 is the PCV system.
