2006 ford Taurus-check engine light on for aprox 6 mo.-replaced bad plug wires. runs great now. disconnected battery for 1 hr. reconnected and drove car 57 miles city and freeway. still shows obd catalyst and obd evap codes. all other codes cleared. what drive cycles are needed to clear these codes ? or do I just need to run more start cycles?

Are you trying to clear the monitors?  In order to run the EVAP and clear the monitor the fuel must be more than 1/4 and less than 3/4 full or the EVAP will not run, There should also be no pending codes. One of the trick repair in order to run and clear the monitor without driving so much most repair shop replace the 02 sensor (the front sensors) and the monitor clear on the same drive cycle.
