hey got a 2005 chevy aveo 5 hatch.had to put a used computer off a 2004.now everything work except fourth gear it reves high.i put the car in neutral and shut the engine off and start it again and work fine.chevy dealers are telling me that the computer needs to be reset are they telling me the truth please help thank

The ECM for these are different when it comes to having a automatic transmission and a manual transmission . you need to ensure that the ECM came from a vehicle that has the same type of transmission if your is a automatic transmission the ECM replacment needs to be from a automatic transmission.if you have a manual transmission same thing the ECM need to be from a manual transmission.
