2004 Infiniti G35 with random misfire

Question

I changed the oil and filter. I also replaced the valve cover(right cover facing engine)& gasket i found oil on plugs. Now I have rough Iddle, shaking excessive gas smell and fumes from exhaust, poppind sounds and can't drive faster than 35?. Can the variable Valve timing solenoid be stuck?. Please help, thank you
