Nissan Altima cvt transmission replace

Question

My nissan altima 2009 is having problem with transmission i just want to ask if i will replace the transmission with 2010 altima would it be working fine with 2009 model and do i need the programming or software update or is there anything else to be changed along with the transmission. Thanks

Unless there is a software update that is needed. 

the warranty is extended to "10 years/120,000 miles, whichever comes first." if you are under the mileage you should be covered.
