P0706 Audi - What is the price of Transmission Range Sensor for Audi A4 2008

Question

Hi, I recently bought an Audi A4 2008 and "foolish me" didn't get it checked. The gear display PRDNS in dashboard was not blinking while driving but at the time of transfer i noticed it and i asked the seller (asshole egyptian) which he said to ignore as its normal because service is due. I believed him :(

The next day car while at speed of 15 mph suddenly shifted to neutral with some noise from engine. i switched the engine off and on again and the car was ok there after till now (2 weeks later). The car drives pretty smoothly and haven't done anything stupid since then.

I took the car to few workshops and Audi dealer as well. The computer checkup showed error P0706. Audi dealer said it would cost 3000 US Dollar to get it fixed which nearly half the price i bought the car for. Can anybody tell me from where to get the "transmission sensor" (maybe online??) and what should i do next :(

P0705 Transmission range sensor malfunction / performance

Check the connection as it goes into the transmission leaking transmission fluid through this connection can often be the problem for the transmission switch
