04 ion redline po171 code starts up idels ok but when i press the throttle it sputters losing alot of power causing stalling cant really drive

This code, P0171 is for a lean fuel mixture. This is something that could be caused by low fuel pressure which can cause this symptom. This could also be the result of the timing being off, a vacuum leak or a bad front O2 sensor. The sensor would not normally cause this issue however.
