P0016 Chevrolet - Can p0015, p0016, p0017 result in engine failure/thrown rod

Can ignoring a combination of p0015, p0016, and p0017 cause major engine problems, as in thrown rod?

P0016, P0015 was there recently any repair that has been done such as a water pump? camshaft actuators, These can be a indication of the timing chain and its tensioner, it wont  throw a rod ,
