This code condition occurs when the EGR is commanded closed and the actual EGR position indicated that the EGR is still open. This code condition if the EGR is open will give you a rough idle, and at acceleration you would not have a rough acceleration at all.It would open to control Nox.it is still possible that it is contributing to a misfire condition., P1404 you would need to remove the EGR and clean out the pintle for any carbon that has build up at the pintle that would cause this code condition.
