at idle my truck runs at a higher rpm only sometimes

its possible on some cars with only a knock sensor code. Reset the code and see if the idle is still high, if the idle is still high and there is no code, I dont think the knock sensor is causing the high rpm's maybe a dirty throttle body or mass air flow meter or intake leak.
