Does 1451 code make the engine die when shift from 2nd to 3rd

It a 5 speed with 1451 code die when 2nd to 3

that is weird, P1451 is an EVAP code which is related to the pressure built up in the gas tank and the pressure and vapors is sent back into the engine to burn.

I would start by checking for intake leaks and maybe replace the gas cap with a new orginal Ford gas cap.
