Service engine soon light is on. Threw code P1133...what does this mean and how do I repair it?

was driving when the service engine soon light came on. Shows code P1133. What does this mean and how do I fix it? Please explain in simple terms that I can understand...

Hi there,

The code means the front heated O2 sensor is not working properly. While there can be several causes, most of the time the sensor itself is the problem. This is the O2 sensor mounted in the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter.
