I have a 2002 Ford Escape V6. My diagnostic trouble codes came back with P1000, C1233, B1676. I just had my alternator replaced and got a new battery a couple of weeks ago. I've put about 500 miles on my truck since getting it back. At the beginning of the week, the check engine light came on, the ABS light came on, and the O/D light started flashing. I was reading about DTC B1676, and it doesn't make sense why this code is coming up after both parts being replaced. Does it take more time for the system to reset?
I also have DTC codes P1744 and P0741 coming up. I had the transmission replaced two years ago. I maybe put about 10,000 miles on the truck since then. I had the fluids flushed at the beginning of the year. Can you explain the difference between these codes or what i might have to do? The causes seem the same to me.
Prior to replacing the alternator and battery, I didn't have any of these codes showing up. I took the vehicle for inspection a few days after getting the battery and alternator and my emissions failed. It showed that my catalytic converter was not supported. The guy at Advanced Auto Parts that checked the DTC said no codes pointed to the catalytic converter. Could any of the other codes be a result of the truck failing emissions?
Thank you in advance for your help. I don't know much about vehicles besides researching briefly online but any advice would help!
