Yes it will , this code can wear out the transmission, This condition is for the transmission range switch or the gear selector also known as the PRNDL switch. IIf left unrepair you may not be able to start the vehicle, in either Park or Neutral. Hyundai has put out a TSB about this concern TSB # 09-AT-013 titled A/T Mil on / DTC P0705 /  P0707 / P0708 / No start in P/N.Which include replacement of the range switch
