This code means there is a lean command,this can because of a exhust leak near the upstream 02 sensor. You can still drive the vehicle but you will use more fuel than required. If you ever received a Recall for the catalytic convertor internal damage, that should be take care of,  Chevy did put out a emission recall TSB # 16186 but this is very vague, and it may not apply for you but you can ask.
