P1281 Chrysler - jeep wrangler

I own 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L 5-spd. 206,000 miles. showing MIL on with a code P1281.
Just prior to MIL, I Pressure cleaned engine. What is easiest way to troubleshoot this code?
Change temp sensor or change out thermostat? or is there a better way to troubleshoot?

Vehicle: 2004, Jeep Wrangler, 4.0L
