P1504 2001 Ford F150 -

As soon as I started the engine the idle speed gose up to 5000 rpm. I changed the idle speed valve, throttle sensor and ignition wires. evine I tried to unplug the batteri cable for 5 min. I checked the hoses and the cables between the idle valve control and the pmc.
no results
any advice.

Hi there,

When the code for the high idle speed appears like this, it's not always the problem. Usually a vacuum leak will cause the engine to race. Most often the issue here is with the hose to the pcv valve. It eventually cracks, causing a vacuum leak and the high engine speed.
