P0773 1996 Toyota Avalon fix?

Question

Car is shifting about five hundred RPM late, and a little hard. But if I give it about 4000 RPM and drive, it shifts fine for a very short time. And when the engine isn't warmed up it shifts like any car does when it's cold.
