P0316 Mercury -

Question

I got 2 codes po316 and po301. My question is do I replace the crankshaft position sensor or just replace sparkplug and wire in cylinder 1???

HI there,

P0316 means the computer detected a misfire in the first 1000 rpms, there isn't any need to replace the crank sensor here because you do in fact have a misfire on cylinder 1.

I would replace the plug and wire, but you may also need a new ignition coil as well.
