p1345 code that wont go away..

Question

I have replaced the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, pull the distributor check everything on it, I have cleared the code a few times, I do have a scan tool but I don't know how to change the cam retard with it, I do know what I need to get the reading, 1000rpm 0 +/- 2 degrees but have no idea how to use the scanner to change it..

P1345 Crankshaft position - camshaft position correlation.

This code can only occur when the distributor is not properly installed. Bring number 1 cyclinder to its TDC (top dead center) there you will need to align the main pulley 2. align the distributor cap with the rotor pointing to the number 1 position as it would sit in the cap.and mark it on the distributor.There install the distributor, it will move 42 degrees clockwise. (or counterclockwise) so you will have to remove the distributor to a cetertain degree to bring it to its mark that you have made on the distributor where alot of people make there mistake is at the distributor drive gear is the oil pump drive gear use the long screw driver to move it to a position where the distributor rotor and oil drive gear will allow the rotor to be in the correct postion as the distributor is seated at. You will need to repeat till the rotor installed is at the correct position
