In the recent cold snap my Picasso would not start up, tried several times. I waited for better weather, engine turned over OK but created an engine fault code P0336. Purchased a ELM 327 unit to find out the code.

Engine warning light went out by it's self after starting the engine a few times, I just need to know why it happened before the next freezing conditions arrive.

The P0336 is for the "Crankshaft Position Sensor", if the engine is turning too slow it may trigger this code. Cold weather can cuase the engine to turn slower than normal. You may want to try using a different oil weight to prevent this problem.
