P0138 Dodge - 1996 1500

p0138 on a dodge 1996 ram 1500 what could cause this code and would it cause my engine to cut out after letting off the gas

P0138 -02 sensor circuit high voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2

This is for the downstream 02 sensor or the catalytic monitor sensor, when it is a circuit high it represent a disconnection of the 02 sensor, or a failed sensor, This would not cause the engine to cut out after letting of the gas ,what are possible cause of engine stalling after letting off the gas is the IAC (idle air control) motor, the IAC has to maintain a target RPM . Try doing a throttle body cleaning see if that helps.
