Recommended checks to isolate swirl control valve system problem- 2004 Nissan 3.5

2004 Nissan Pathfinder 3.5L engine.
Under heavy acceleration the vehicle bucks or surges ( power then no power alternately) the
"Service Engine Soon" light came on. Error code: P1131 on reader indicated. Replaced a damaged vacuum line (that was chewed by a squirrel) but the problem continues. Normal voltage and resistance is showing through all circuits related to the swirl control valve system. Any ideas what else to check?

Have you replaced the swirl control valve? if no I would start there if you checked the connector already.
