I have an 04' 350Z Touring with the 6 speed manual. OBD 2 code P1283 air fuel sensor 1, heater bank 2 pops up 3 in a row on the code reader. Idle is smooth, (so no intake leak), I saw all service records upon purchase, car has less than 100k on the clock which is not horrible for the year. However, last owner took off cat and installed stainless, un-restricted exhaust.. (possibly deleting/removing an O2 sensor?).

Other than that, it does smell slightly rich on warmup. (But no rich smell underhood). Any ideas? Thanks.

I would start by clearing the self learning.

Easiest way to do this is disconnect the battery for an hour or so, if the light does not come on there is nothing to fix.
