Code won't clear

Question

05 Frontier is showing P1283 and the sensor is brand new. I unplugged the mas flow sensor to retrain the ECM(?) But it still shows up.

HI there,

This code is for the bank 1 AF sensor sensor 2 after the converter., not the maf sensor. Unplugging the maf sensor doesn't do anything with this code. What happens here is the fuel trim has to be reset to 0. If it's not, then the long term fuel trim will continue to set this code based on old info. You can either disconnect the battery for 24 hours or visit a shop with a scan tool capable of resitting the actual fuel trim.
