i have a 2004 nissan maxima. i start the car up and it dies right away like stuttering and cant stay on, all the lights in the dash go on and the car shuts off. its getting a high voltage reading from the computer and says crankshaft sensor i replaced crank sensor and car still does same thing. the funny thing is if i disconnect the alternator the car stays running until the battery dies but when i connect the alternator the car dies i replaced the alternator tried 5 different ones and the battery is brand new. please help.

Are there any codes stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM)? if there are codes, what is the code number? Pxxxx?

Also, check the alternator fuse. The alternator fuse supplies power to the voltage regulator inside the alternator, which is the one that regulates the voltage output.
