How do I fix a BMW TCM fault code 16

Hi! We had the starter replaced on our 2003 325ci. After which the tansmission lite illuminated, transmission went into limp mode and TCM eventually shows 49&54-gear monitoring problem and 65-undocumented code. Please respond to [email protected]
