On my Ford Five Hundred 3.0L, I got the engine code p0106, how to repair it? my car hesitates

Hi there,

This code is for the manifold absolute pressure sensor or MAP. When the engine is running the map sensor reads the amount of pressure inside the intake. This changes after the engine is started. The computer uses this info to help create the fuel mixture. If the sensor fails, then the computer can't make the correct mixture and the engine will hesitate and sometimes run rough.The code can be a result of some other issue as well. Things like a dirty throttle body, if the egr valve is stuck open. Other items need to be checked prior to replacing the map sensor.
