Will the code po115 prevent the engine from starting

*my 1999 Toyota Tacoma over heated to to a broken waters pump I replace the pump but it continued to get hot I taped on the thermostat housing and the temperature went to normal and tried to star and tried to start it it would it would turn over but it will not start I hooked up the obd coadteader and one code came up po115 would discard the motor not to start

No this will not make the engine not start. A failed temperature sensor will cause the engine to use more than required fuel.
