2001 Mercedes Benz C240 with engine code P0600, how can I recheck this code? I just changed the alternator; can this be the cause of this problem?

P0600 Loss of serial communication link

Some of the code condition for P0600  are no or incorrect CAN message from control unit ABC module. ,Engine selector lever module control module, Jacket tube module, ESP control module, ETC control module, instrument cluster module. When the battery was changed and disconnected, some of the moduel during the battery being disconnected goes to sleep. battery being low does cause communication code.
