what is engine code PO430

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus 3.0L EFI DOHC 6cyl that just recently started over heating and now I have a code popping up PO430. what is this and how do I fix it?

P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency below threshold (Bank 2)

If the vehicle is overheating it increases exhaust gas temperature and the catalytic does not work effectively. Start by fixing the overheating condition this code condition can be caused by the overheating condition.
