07 ford fusion- car has been riding with no issues then out of nowhere the dash lights came on, car gets to about 2ed/3rd gear then drives odd wont shift. the auto store said code p0757 1) mechanical condition solenoid stuck 2)internal transmission problem. does this mean I need a new transmission? had car serviced about a month ago no codes was told everything looks fine and they recommended a transmission flush in future (I was going to get done with oil change coming up next month)

P0757 Mechanical or hydraulic failure of the shift solenoid (SSE)

You may still have to do a transmission service, just to inspect the fluid condition if heavy sediment caused the solenoid to stay open. Ford uses the smart junction fuse box. When one fuse open it set off a variety of component to act up. The first is to inspect for open fuse , the SSE in question is natuarally in a open position unless given the command from the ECM which then go into a closed position , So there may not even be a connection to this solenoid SSE. In the fuse junction box Fuse # 26 ,fuse 23 and fuse 26. A short to ground can have cause this condition
