I have a 2001 Honda Civic DX with an Automatic Transmission that isn't shifting. Actually until I reset the code P0123 I couldn't even take it out of Park to put it into Drive or Reverse. Normally I'd have to use the release switch located next to the A/T Shifter. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

This code is for the throttle position sensor. If it's not working properly the symptoms you have can be a result. The transmission not shifting out of park is unrelated, but the running issues and the transmission not shifting properly could be a result of a bad tps.
