P0172 GMC -

Question

I'm getting P0172 fault codes on my OBDII scanner, also a ck engine orange light. I have a 2011 GMC Terrain FWD L4-2.4L. Could it possibly be a bad check valve in the gas cap ?.

P0172 Fuel trim too rich

No this not be a bad check valve or the gas cap, You need to do the Recall to correct this condition Recall #12313B. this is about the the engine balance chain and the fuel pump pluger shaft seal causing P0172.
