I have the P0705 code on my Land Rover, what is the meaning of the code? how can I repair the code?

This code is referring to the transmission range switch. This is the switch mounted under the shift linkage on the transmission. It's not uncommon for this switch to be the actual cause of the code. Sometimes it's also the adjustment of the switch that can cause it.
