Van has a hard time starting. Wasn't like this before. Sometimes, it takes up to 10 - 15 minutes to get it to start. And then I got to hold down the ignition key when starting & stop the key from returning. Ï'm concerned this might later damage the kickstarter. Also the van throttle (electric system) fails to raise; it takes up to 15 minutes or longer of many starting & quenching cycles when trying to keep the van running. But this problem ceases during & when when van has worked for a while and has been driven around or even if running idle for long without movement & engine is still very hot. Diagnostics done and fault code is P1608 ECM internal fault. I just got this van & really had high hopes & ï'm broke. I need it to be fine so I can run my haulage business, make money & pay up debts (van was purchased through business loan). I need help fast. Ï'm in Lagos, Nigeria. I can't afford to go to the Ford dealership because it's too damn costly and their service here isn't much fail-proof as the common Mech auto workshops. Can someone help on this please, ï'm begging on my knees, thank you

Vehicle: 2004, Ford, Transit, 125 T350, 2.0 diesel engine

P1608 is more of a wiring issue where the where there is rub through wire damage and because of this you get no throttle response. and hard to start. inspect the harness and check for any rub through area and repair any wire that show damage.
