I have a code of P1133 on my Pontiac Grand-Am 2001, 3.4 ltr engine, it was after I changed the battery. the service engine soon light was on before but showing only as Random misfire when checked by the ODB Scanner by my mechanic. But this code P1133 showed up after the batter was changed. Then I brought the car to the mechanic and the code was erased and I drove the car for over 30 kms.
With that engine light on I brought my car to the emission test and it failed showing the DTC P1133 and showing status only Catalyst Not Ready.
Then I brought the car to my mechanic and he eraised the engine light. I drove the car again over 3o km, but the service engine soon light came back on when I drove 30 km. Then I erased again the service engine soon light and drove the car for another 30 km.
and when I went to emission test my car with engine light erased the result said my car Not Ready with the 3 messages: Catalyst not ready, Evaporating System not ready and Sensor System not ready but it's not showing the DTC code number like the first emission test before. But the second emission test didn't say my car failed like the first emssion test. The emission ctr guy recommended me to drive another 30 - 50 km. But when I drove the car hitting the 30 km, the engine light came back on. Then I erased the code again and brought the car back to the emission ctr. After he checked with their scanner he said its now even showing more another 2 messages that total up to 5 red crosses of bad messages
So, what is actually the problem of my car and what is to be fixed with the car in order to get the emission test passed and the engine light gone forever ?
Thank you very much for the answer and solution.
