P0741 Ford -

My 99 Explorer has shown a PO741 code. A transmission company tells me that the trans needs to come out, "it has TCC codes" Is this the case or can there be some other way to fix this?

The car O/D light will come on after driving at highway speeds for 45 minutes or more. It may be jumping out of O/D.
