Question

I was wondering if you continue to drive your car with it having thermostat issues what further damage could it cause to your car. Also, I had the engine light come on and took it to Auto Zone they scanned it for codes and said it was the thermostat. He went to say a thermostat would cost $20 and gasket $3. I planned on getting my car serviced this weekend and was wondering until than if I continued to drive it what further damage could it cause.

if the car is the car overheating, than it can cause a problem
